The Junior Project Manager will provide proactive, intuitive, and creative support to the PM team and client projects as well as managing smaller projects independently. This role acts as an ‘unblocker’ throughout the project life cycle – resolving problems, anticipating issues, and working with all agency staff to ensure efficient movement of work through the agency.
You’ll be an efficient administrator, organised, detailed and thorough
Taking responsibility for ensuring the efficient operation of the Project Management team, you’ll ensure the agency whiteboard accurately reflects the current Float schedule and known absence/holiday to allow forward planning on capacity, as well as take operational responsibility for the maintenance of Dropbox folders. You’ll need to be able to draw on your experience (likely 1 year +) in a busy, varied and deadline focused administration role – specific project management experience is desirable, but isn’t essential.
You will be confident learning and using new systems
The Junior Project Manager will ensure all new projects are added to Trello and actioned as required and demonstrate efficient upkeep of projects via Float. You’ll confidently manage the administration of the agency workflow system and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to include opening new jobs, updating dates on jobs when expired, adding contact details to the CRM and raising quotes/POs.
You will provide excellent agency marketing and new business support
Whether proactively owning KISS marketing administration tasks such as uploading blogs, scheduling social posts or managing asset requirements; or supporting in new business proposals and cred requirements, you’ll quickly demonstrate the value in your efficiency, proactiveness and passion.
You will provide valued support on client projects
From proofing documents and checking desired amends have been made on creative work, to checking sends, data and reports, to managing smaller clients on Service Level Agreements with adhoc requests, to providing website testing when needed on projects – the Junior Project Manger will have the opportunity to get involved and add value across the agency. To succeed you’ll therefore need to be highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to switch between projects as needed.
You’ll be a strong communicator with excellent resilience
Proactively following up and taking responsibility to ensure a requirement is met is an essential attribute for the role holder as well as being enthusiastic and positive in their approach – you’ll recognise the importance of contributing to the energy of the team while bringing a calm and steady presence. Bright, intuitive and comfortable with change, you’ll be able to demonstrate strong emotional intelligence in your interactions with others.
