We’re looking for someone with a proven track record as Head of Planning within a creative agency that demonstrates their strength as a leader - visionary, positive, a mentor and coach. You’ll be passionate about creativity and its power to impact as well as open and curious – always open to new ways and ever learning, quick to get interested in new categories and client challenges, and sees possibility not barriers.
Collaborative by nature, you’ll be comfortable working across disciplines and sharing information and knowledge as required. Proactive in offering support, you’ll quickly form strong relationships with colleagues and clients.
Pragmatic and solution focused, you’ll look for ways in to work through problems, be able to identify potential risks and unravel complex strategic challenges
You’ll lead the agency’s strategy offer, setting the ambition for strategy at KISS
You’ll grow the KISS strategy revenue stream and bring strategy to life across the agency – providing education and inspiration. We’ll look to you to establish and monitor the quality of strategy work, leading and supporting colleagues in integrating strategic work across the business.
You will develop and present thought pieces, industry reviews and trend reports both internally and externally
Manage the Strategy team and resource, developing strategy understanding throughout the agency
Work proactively alongside the Account Management team to develop client relationships and identify opportunities for growth. Manage the Strategy team members’ professional development and work satisfaction, identifying development needs and supporting the team to grow, delegating and overseeing strategy work across the team.
Act as senior strategic consultant, completing key pieces of strategy work, delivering informed solutions based on trends, insights, and academic thought to form a robust response to client briefs
You’ll lead relevant new business pitches – generating customer insight and strategy to define direction and be a trusted strategic partner to the client, building excellent relationships and challenging and counselling senior clients comfortably.
Demonstrating your knowledge and experience, you’ll anticipate brand and customer needs to deliver fresh ideas internally and externally, owning the ‘effectiveness’ of key projects - working with clients to fine tune the work, monitoring and tracking effectiveness and writing effectiveness case studies.
Facilitate and moderate workshops, undertake primary consumer research and provide human truths to create, develop and refine strategic tools. Represent the company’s strategic strength externally, attending events and speaking as appropriate
