Award-winning Calcott Hall Farm Shop, a family run business based in Brentwood, Essex has selected KISS Public Relations to handle its PR and media relations. Following a three-way pitch, KISS Public Relations was appointed to raise the profile of Calcott Hall Farm Shop. The agency will be working on a campaign that encompasses both local and regional publications, broadcast, social media and a variety of trade and consumer food magazines. Calcott Hall is a 140 acre farm, and produce is sold almost exclusively through the shop, thus cutting out the middle man and reducing not only the shop’s carbon footprint but also that of its customers. The business prides itself on providing the best possible quality, freshness and value which it achieves from either growing the produce itself or sourcing from the East Anglian region, including the Tastes of Anglia food group. Peter McTurk, owner of the business, said: “KISS Public Relations impressed us with their credentials in the food sector and their depth of knowledge and creative ideas presented at the pitch. Calcott Hall Farm Shop has seen some major improvements over the last 12 months and we are keen to engage with the local community via a range of marketing tools to increase footfall into the shop.” KISS Public Relations works with blue-chip clients and successful SMEs throughout the East of England. Based in Hertfordshire, the company is a member of the Taste of Anglia food group. PR Director, Justine Smith is looking forward to working with Peter and his team, she said: “Calcott Hall Farm Shop offers great products at affordable prices. Consumers are becoming far savvier when it comes to buying local produce; people care about food miles and supporting their local communities.”
