KISS Public Relations helps Ely City Golf Club raise £8,500 for charity

Ely City Golf Club’s latest charity event to celebrating its Golden Jubilee has raised in excess of £8,500 for Arthur Rank Hospice and East Anglia’s Children’s Hospice (E.A.C.H.). The event, which took place on the 28th September, was supported by KISS Public Relations, who worked with the Club to raise the profile of the event and help to gain sponsors. An impressive 120 golfers took part in the 18 holes of golf, as well as enjoying a putting competition, a silent auction, a raffle and charity auction. Tom Munt, Club Manager at Ely City Golf Club, said: “The PR activity that KISS Public Relations has contributed has been great support for the club as well as for both charities. It’s been a pleasure working with an agency that has expressed the same passion in raising awareness for EACH and Arthur Rank Hospice as we have.” Justine Smith, PR Director at KISS Public Relations is delighted with the result, she said: “Both these charities are well respected in the East of England and we are very pleased the Golden Jubilee event was such a success. We hope our pro bono contribution helped in raising awareness of the event.” East Anglia’s Children’s Hospice is a charity which supports children and their families who face life-threatening conditions, providing support in the family home, the community and the hospice. The Arthur Rank Hospice provides palliative care and support to adult patients and their family, friends and carers. The Charity is challenged with raising £1.3million this year; over £3500 a day to fund vital life enhancing services, so donations are greatly welcomed during these tough times. KISS has worked with a variety of charities, including Muscle Help Foundation and Cambridge Community Foundation. These projects have involved a variety of PR activities, ranging from raising the general profile of the charity through to promoting events run by the organisation.
